11 Week Pregnancy Bump Update

Here is my 11 week pregnancy update! I wanted to go ahead and get these going! I will update you weekly! Enjoy!

Size of baby: Lime, 1.6 inches long, with a 1:1 Body to Head Ratio, weighing about .25 ounces
How far along?  11 weeks!
Total weight gain/measurements: about 5 pounds
Maternity clothes: Not in this video, but I did make a purchase of my first maternity outfit last week.
Nursery: We are moving this week, no nursery yet.
Stretch marks: No, but I did notice the dark line this week going down the center of my tummy, starting at my navel. It is called the Linea Nigra.
Sleep: It has been a struggle to get comfortable, but I found that using a pillow beneath my tummy helps a lot. Also, running to the bathroom in the middle of the night has become a regular occurrence.
Best moment this week: Finally posting that I was pregnant on my YouTube channel. I have been wanting to share it for a while, but I haven’t felt well enough to film until now. Which, begs for another great moment starting to feel a little less nauseous all the time.
Miss anything? Not feeling guilty to drink a Coke or cup of Coffee. I know I can have it in moderation, but it still makes me feel bad every time.
Movement: Nope, not yet. I cannot feel the baby move. However, I can feel that its there. Especially when I try to twist my body. It always feels weird and uncomfortable.
Food cravings: Not this week. I have mostly had food aversions. Food scares me these days.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Just about everything that has a strong scent. The only thing that doesn’t bother me is sweets! Hahaha.
Gender: Too soon to know, but I’m leaning towards girl.
Labour signs: Nope, not yet.
Symptoms:  I am nauseous all day, although it is getting better. I have food aversions to most strong smelling foods. Any and every strong smell makes me sick. I am very tired all the time, and sore most of the time as well. My back aches a lot, all the way down to my tailbone ): I am also extremely emotional, and occasionally moody. However, I am doing my best to keep my emotions in check. The normal running to the restroom often. I get hungry very quickly, and try to eat small frequent meals throughout the day. My bump is also getting bigger making it harder for me fit into most of my clothes.
Belly button in or out? In, but it looks like it might be reverting slowly, haha.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but I did gain a little wait in my fingers, because one of my rings that couldn’t fit my ring finger on my right hand now fits!
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy, but occasionally moody. We are moving so this causes a little added stress which leads to moody.
Looking forward to: Not feeling sick and all and having more energy.

I Don’t Know How to Be Friends With My Ex

Hi  Chauntel,

I broke up with my ex in February because i wanted to finish my associate degree (which i did) and work full time to save for a car (in which i dont have yet). We’ve been great friends since. We still talk great. No sex involved. Some days I want it back. Some days i only want general sex with women i DONT care for. How do I know if we should try it again? Or if I need to be single?

Follow-up Question from Chauntel to John:

Hi John,

Those days that you “want it back” what is it that you are missing or wanting?
Those days that you “don’t care for her,” why is that?
Reply from John:

I want back the fact that I only need to worry about her and not making a handful of women happy.

On single days I like to flirt and know that if I had sex with a girl, another wouldn’t get offended. There would be no commitment.

Chauntel’s Response:

Hi John,

I think it is great that you and your ex have remained friends, that is so important. However, I am not convinced that you are ready to be in a relationship.

I think it is comfortable for you to be with her, and that is why “some days” you like it. You are not that into her. It is nice that you are worried about her, but you cannot feel guilted into a relationship with her. That is not fair to either of you. She will end up being hurt in the long run if you continue to walk the line. Don’t send her mixed signals. If you guys are friends, then don’t make her feel like it is more. That is torture.

I also think you are just fearful of moving on.

Don’t mess up your friendship with her, unless you are sure that you actually want to pursue a relationship with her. If you do, both of you will end up hurt.

You are in the mood to play the field, and that’s ok. The only time that becomes a problem is if you put yourself in a committed relationship. Don’t do it.

I know that you enjoy the comfort of a girl to come home to, but you cannot have that and play the field. You have to choose one or the other. I would not advise you to jump back into a relationship with her. Give yourself sometime. You are obviously searching for something that you did not find in that relationship. Continue to respect her.

Don’t “accidently” have sex with her one-night and say it just happened, because guess what it will mean much more to her than it just being an accident. You seem like a nice guy so don’t force this.

How to Choose A College Major

I am struggling really bad with choosing a college major & there is nobody to help me. My family cares about prestige & heres why I got influenced by them to choose a major thats prestigious! 😦 I got into Law school & then I switched to another university to study Economics. I am so confused I dont know what I want. There are no advisors in my country.

Hello Rawan,

Choosing a college major can be difficult. It is a lot of responsibility to make a decision like this at such a young age when you are still learning who you are as a person.

However, the best way to go about this is select according to what you love to do. Think about what you want to do on a day-to-day basis. Then find out jobs that incorporate your interests. The reality is, it is not about the title. It is about what you are actually doing everyday. Some people have the same title, but work in different industries and therefore have different experiences at work.

Start with what you like to do. Then begin thinking about what you are passionate about. The major will find you.

Let me also advise you. Although, it is important that you are respectful of your family, you are going to be the one going to work everyday. Therefore, you do not want to choose a major for them. You need to choose to do something that you love. Do you know why?

BECAUSE you are going to be the one going to school and suffering through the classes. You are also going to be the one working everyday. You don’t want to walk into a job you hate. If you do you wil hate your life.

Should I Date My Friend? – Ask Chauntel

Hey Chauntel,

I asked u a question a few months ago and you gave me a great answer.  I was wondering if you could give me advice on another issue?

I use to have a crush on one of my friends ( haha but all the girls did at the time). We really got close this year and I really opened up to him. He really help me sort things out with my life and he’s always there ready to help with what ever. I started to except that we would just be best friends cause he never gave any indication to wanting more. While we were texting yesterday I asked who he liked and he said “guess”. I didn’t want to guess me cause I was afraid of rejection. so I kinda acted like I didn’t know what he was talking about. He said “the friend ” he liked that he thought God was pointing him to her and he thought that God made them get so close so he could see the similarities.

Me and him are soo similar. I’ve never had that kind of connection with ANYONE. Im just so confused bc we’ve been so close and I don’t want to try and lose my best friend but at the same time I’ve never been so compatible with anyone like I have with him. In a way I think of think its the right thing to do and I feel like god made our paths cross for a reason.  Can you give me any advice?  I’d really appreciate it. I don’t know what to do.

Hi Ginny,

God truly has a way of working in our lives. I truly believe the scripture that says, “All things work together for them that love the Lord,” found in Romans 8:28. If you continue to let God guide you he will take you exactly where you want to go in life. So continue to live in his will.

As for the guy, I think it is great that the two of you have built a friendship. In order for your relationship to grow you need a solid foundation in friendship. Since you have that you are already at a great start.

Here is my two sense. If you like him and he likes you, love is worth the risk. Please keep in mind that if you date your friend the dynamics of your relationship will change. The good news is, if it doesn’t work out  you two will still have a good chance at being friends because you have built a solid foundation in your friendship!
