Every day, we pour into our children and teach them to love the Lord. ❤️
And sometimes, it surprises me in the sweetest ways how God’s love starts to shine through them.
It might be something small.
A little prayer they say without being prompted.
A question they ask about God.
A moment when they show kindness, compassion, or faith in a way that makes you stop and think, Wow. They’re really listening.
Those moments remind me that what we’re planting really does matter.
As moms, we spend so much time repeating ourselves that it can be hard to know what’s actually sinking in. 😂
We remind them to pray.
We teach them Scripture.
We take them to church.
We talk about God in the car.
We correct them.
We encourage them.
We try to model what it looks like to turn to God when life is hard, when we’re grateful, when we’re confused, and when we need direction.
And sometimes it can feel ordinary.
But ordinary faithfulness has a way of becoming something much bigger over time.

Keep Showing Up
One of the things I’ve learned is that bringing our children around other believers matters too.
Scripture reminds us not to forsake assembling together, and I’ve seen how valuable that is in every season of motherhood.
Now, that doesn’t mean every Sunday is peaceful. 😂
Some seasons look like sitting quietly and actually hearing the sermon.
Some seasons look like snacks, questions, bathroom trips, wiggles, and trying to keep a two-year-old from escaping the service.
Sometimes you feel deeply encouraged.
Sometimes you leave church wondering if you heard three complete sentences.
But either way, it is still worth it.
Because our children are learning something simply by seeing us continue to show up.
They are learning that worship matters.
That being around God’s people matters.
That prayer matters.
That faith is not just something we talk about when life is easy.
The Seeds Are Taking Root
Teaching my children to love the Lord has been such an honor.
And one of the greatest blessings is beginning to see the joy of the Lord show up in them.
Not perfectly.
Not all at once.
But little by little.
That’s what planting looks like.
You don’t put a seed in the ground and expect to see a full-grown tree the next morning.
You water it.
You tend to it.
You protect it.
You keep showing up.
And eventually, you start to see growth.
I think motherhood is a lot like that.
Sometimes we are doing faithful work that does not look dramatic from day to day.
But that does not mean nothing is happening.
Mama, Keep Planting
So if you’re a mom out there pouring into your babies, keep going.
Keep praying.
Keep teaching.
Keep showing up.
Keep bringing them around God’s people.
Keep letting them see you seek God.
Keep planting the seeds.
You may not always see the fruit right away.
But God is still working.
And as we pour into our children, He continues to pour into them too.
Then, every now and then, He gives us one of those beautiful little moments where the love we’ve been trying so hard to teach starts shining right back at us.
And what a gift that is. ❤️
Mama, keep planting.
God is doing more in those little hearts than you may realize.
XOXO,
Chauntel
